The very last chance for an amazing Surf-weekend with Mojo this season!

Dear all!

This weekend the Mojo surf-season will come to an end so it’s most likely your last chance to learn or improve your surfing for quite a while.

Over the past few weeks 10 INTERNeX people have taken the trip and we have had a lot of positive feedback about this amazing weekend. At the Easter weekend trip one girl had such a good time that she has booked to go again this weekend.

Not only that because it’s the last weekend, we have a very special price of $299 which includes, transportation to and from Raglan with an awesome guide, all meals except the first nights dinner, up to 3 surf lessons over the weekend with an experienced surf teacher for about 2 hours each time, accommodation in a lodge at Raglan sharing with your surf group and a lot of fun whether it’s raining or sunshine.

So, for all of you who thought about booking the trip, now it’s the best possibility to do it, a great price and we have just been told the conditions look good this weekend for learning to surf.

So if you want to go or want to go again, don’t hesitate, just book via mail at pr@internexnewzealand.com or contact us if you need more information.

Three weeks full of laughs

Do you know the feeling of not being in the mood of doing anything outside especially now where the number of rainy days is constantly increasing?

Here is an awesome suggestion for how to stay away from the bad weather while enjoying first class comedy entertainment.

In the upcoming 3 weeks (29.4-22.5) the New Zealand Comedy Festival will take place in Auckland and Wellington. In addition there will be a Comedy Convoy touring through the country in order to bring the Comedy shows also to the regional areas.  The offer of shows seems to be endless and the average price for a ticket for one of all those shows, events and performances is just over 25 bucks!

The Comedy Festival will have its Kick-Off Event this Friday, the 29th of April in the ASB Theatre in Auckland where the VISA Comedy Gala will be held.

For further information about the Comedy Festival 2011 check out the official webpage:

www.comedyfestival.co.nz

Hint: Check out the SPECIALS section. Maybe you will find a special offer that fits you perfectly.

Take this cool opportunity to enjoy a fun night out and forget about the bad weather!

PuB NiGHT 3.0-Review & Easter-Jazz on Waiheke Island

Last night we had the third Pubnight with some new INTERNeX people and some local kiwis as well which made it a much more international experience.

The special action this week was the Bingo game in the cassette number nine, where we all tried to win one of the hot prizes, like a bottle of Southern Comfort or a meat pack, but unfortunately the luck wasn’t with us last night.

After the Bingo game we tried our luck to get some cheap drinks at the Provedore and the hard core from the first night went on to the globe bar where we met a lot of crazy students wearing costumes for a special party. The boys had a lot of fun with some girls dressed as sexy police officers…:-)

Thanks to all joining the pubnight and hope to see you in two weeks for the next pubnight.

And for all you guys don’t have any plans for the long Easter weekend, here is the ultimate tip:

Visit the Waiheke Jazz Festival on Waiheke Island. This is the best way to combine a visit on this beautiful island with a special music festival. The yearly Waiheke Island International Jazz Festival delivers an entertainment program with venues open all across Waiheke. So if you haven’t been there this is a great chance to go. Friday and Saturday look like they will have the best weather.

The first concerts start around midday but there are also some evening concerts and of course late night entertainment at the Supper Club at the Waiheke Island Resort.

There are several ticket possibilities. So you can grab a JAZZABOUT DAY PASS ($49) for either Friday, Saturday or Sunday or you choose the JAZZABOUT WEEKEND DAY PASS ($120) and enjoy full 3 days of jazz.

If you’re only looking for an activity on Sunday evening you can go to the GRAND FINALE CONCERT at the Bay (Matiatia) which is where the ferry lands on Waiheke from 6 – 9pm. The tickets can be bought in front of the door for only $25.

For more information check out: http://www.waihekejazzfestival.co.nz/

Enjoy a wonderful Easter weekend whatever you do!

Cheers,

PuB-NiGHT 2.0 – Review and weekend events

The second Pubnight started quietly but that didn’t last too long – We started the crawl again at the Rakinos Bar with 7 people and every new bar we went to this number just seemed to get larger.

From Rakinos to a bar on Queen Street, then a quick food stop before going to Danny Doolins for some live Irish music it all seemed pretty easy going but then we went onto The Provedore Students Bar where the spirits were running high and the atmosphere with all the students was fantastic.

But we had to keep going and went again to the Globe bar where a lot of people were dancing and all the backpackers made it a real party atmosphere. A few people left and a few more joined as we ended up in a gay friendly bar on the K-road, where we finished this pub night in the early hours of this morning…. thanks to everyone involved, another great night out with the INTERNeX interns.
So what is your plan this weekend?

What about going to the Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix on Sunday for something a bit different. If you are a fan of speed, action and funny activities this event is right you. There will be lots of teams that spend months designing and building a fast and entertaining trolley.

The Racing at the third Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix starts at midday in Auckland Domain.  Its free to watch, so get your friends together, bring some snacks and maybe a beer and enjoy the creativity, performance and speed of the crazy Kiwi-racing-teams.

When?    Sun 10 Apr, 11:30am–5:00pm
Where?   Auckland Domain, Domain Dr, Grafton

Cheers,

Caro & Paul

An amazing weekend with the INTERNeX-interns

After our departure on Friday evening and the 2 ½ hour bus trip we settled into our awesome lodge and all got to know each other before a relatively early night.

On Saturday, our international group of 10 people got a full-time program of surf-lessons from our two instructors, we watched one of our instructors play for his local rugby team and we went on a sunset boat trip where we enjoyed the most amazing sunset and a typical kiwi Barbecue. In the later evening we relaxed with quite a few beers and played some pool in the lodge laughing and having a great time.
We had the perfect Sunday! After a big long breakfast we watched a local surf competition, where we got an idea how surfing should really look and then everyone used the sunny Sunday in their own way…hanging out on the beach, taking pictures or going surfing again. After a typical fish n chips lunch we started our way back to Auckland and arrived totally exhausted but satisfied and happy about this incredible weekend.

Thank you guys for a wonderful time and hope to see you at Rakinos on Wednesday!
If anyone else wants to do a surf trip in future, come and talk to us about it and we can book you on a trip, but remember there are only 3 surf weekends left.

The last weekend was really successful and awesome. Some of the INTERNeX interns and their friends joined me for a surftrip to Raglan, the surfhotspot in New Zealand.

The weather and the waves were really amazing so we had almost the best surf-conditions for learning to stand-up on the board.
