INTERNeX New Zealand: ANZAC Day

ANZAC day is a day to honor the soldiers who fought at Gallipoli during World War 1. It commemorates everyone who has served in all conflicts that the country has been involved in. You will see many people wearing Red Poppy badges. This is a symbol of remembrance and is linked with the poppy that was one of the first plants to grown and bloom in Flanders Fields. There will be many commemorations held at the Auckland War Museum on Thursday 25^th of April (ANZAC day). The annual Dawn service at 6am will be held at the Cenotaph. This is a very moving service and an important part of New Zealand culture. There will also be guided tours of the museum running throughout the morning, several performances and speakers. INTERNeX New Zealand: Pillow Fight Day

On April 6th at 12pm New Zealand’s biggest ever pillow fight will be held in Aotea Square in Auckland. Hundreds of people will be a part of this event which is raising money to provide children in the South Pacific with better healthcare.
